Hock Kee Kopitiam Expands to the 16th Outlet at Sunway Square Mall

Hock Kee Kopitiam is proud to unveil its 16th outlet at Sunway Square, a newly opened four-level retail and lifestyle destination at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur. Since its founding in Johor Bahru in 2018, Hock Kee Kopitiam has steadily expanded, marking significant milestones along the way, including the opening of its first Klang Valley outlet in Bangsar South in 2023, a major step into the capital city, and obtaining HALAL certification in 2024.

Nick Ng, Founder of Hock Kee Kopitiam, shared during the opening ceremony, “This marks our 16th outlet. While we currently operate 15 outlets, we have always counted this as our sixteenth. Our very first outlet, which opened during the MCO period, was unfortunately forced to close. However, it remains the beginning of our journey and a powerful reminder of where we came from, something we will never forget.”

At this new outlet, customers can enjoy a wide variety of the Taste of Malaysia, including Hock Kee’s signature favorites such as Nasi Lemak Banjir, Curry Laksa, Steamed Chicken Rice, Satay Fried Kuey Teow as well as Johor specialties like Classic Laksa Johor Asli and Soto Ayam with Nasi Impit and Lontong.

Since its inception, Hock Kee Kopitiam has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving freshly prepared, made-to-order dishes, never relying on pre-made or frozen meals. With standardised kitchen operations and rigorous hygiene practices, the brand ensures consistency and quality across all outlets. Over the past eight years, Hock Kee has continued to evolve its menu, introducing new dishes that preserve and celebrate Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage.

The Curve is now transforming into Sweetmas Wonderland — a vibrant holiday escape filled with candy-inspired décor, charming installations, and warm Christmas cheer. Step into a world where sweetness meets celebration of an unforgettable Christmas experience! 

Love the candy decorations and the Santa clause special appearance… it’s good to join workshop at specific time period while shopping…. Capturing the spirit of Christmas and year end holidays mood!

 From 1 – 28 December 2025, shoppers will find themselves immersed in a sugary dreamscape complete with a charming candy house, festive booths, dazzling decor, and interactive highlights for visitors of all ages. The star attraction - a beautifully crafted merry-go-round by Toy World - brings nostalgic joy to children and parents alike, making it a must-experience feature this festive season.

This year’s programme is one of the Curve’s most vibrant yet, bringing together a delightful mix of performances throughout the month, including:

• Candy Carolers Parade featuring peppermint-themed costumes and gingerbread accents
• Choir & Saxophone Ensemble delivering soulful Christmas classics
• Festive Marching Band Show energising the mall on weekends
• “Sweet Beats” Mini Musical featuring a lively performance by cupcake and candy dancers
• Santa Meet & Greet that is perfect for family photos and holiday memories

A fan-favourite attraction returns! At the Western Courtyard, shoppers can enjoy a magical snowfall twice daily on weekends and public holidays at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM. With lights twinkling overhead and snowflakes falling gently around them, visitors can experience a picture-perfect winter moment - right here in Malaysia.

Little ones can get creative at the Kids Craft Corner with festive workshops including cupcake decorating, gingerbread cookie design, candy jar decorating, and DIY candy cane ornaments. 
Adding to the excitement, shoppers can put their guessing skills to the test at the ‘Count the Candies Wall’. Stand a chance to win a total of RM3,000 worth of prizes by guessing the number of candies in the giant jar. To participate, simply:
