Ayam Brand Continues its Commitment to a Healthier Malaysia with its 17th Annual Community Campaign

Ayam Brand, a 132-year-old household brand famed for the wide range of quality, no preservative, no added MSG, convenient and Halal certified canned food, is committed to continue its annual community care campaign, which was first introduced in 2008.

This year’s theme, #AyamBersamaMu Sihat & Cergas, aims to promote healthy living among children across Malaysia.

The campaign, in its 17th year, has benefited over 28,350 individuals from 635 NGOs, providing more than 2.2 million nutritious meals to them. This year’s campaign will focus on building good nutrition habits with Omega-3 for healthier children and making fitness a part of every child’s life for a fitter generation of Malaysians. In Klang Valley, the campaign will be benefitting 425 children from four NGOs by providing them 76,500 meals.

In partnership with dietetic experts from Columbia Asia, Focus Point Group, nutrition and fitness expert, Ayam Brand will be holding workshops related to the Malaysian Healthy Plate with emphasis on Suku-suku Separuh, fitness routines that the children can do at home and a fitness challenge to encourage the children to remain active, for the participating charity homes in Johor, Pulau Pinang, Sarawak, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

According to Ms Teoh Wei Ling, Head of Marketing at A. Clouet (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the brand strongly believes everyone deserves access to healthy food and the opportunity to lead a healthy life. “Through our annual community care program, we aim to empower individuals and communities to make positive changes to their health and well-being,”

Data from the Ministry of Health Malaysia 1 shows that the Omega-3 fatty acid intake of the average Malaysian is currently low. They suggest three ways to remedy this; namely eat more pulses like beans, tofu and fish; use cooking oil that is a blend of palm olein and Omega-3 rich vegetable oil; and include Omega-3 rich foods.

“Omega-3 is crucial for heart, brain, nerve, skin and eye health. We are providing our products with Omega-3, with the aim to provide one of the key nutrients for the children in this campaign. This year, we are integrating fitness into our campaign to maintain healthy lifestyles. Malaysia sees a rise in childhood stunting and obesity rates hence we would like to promote healthy living and fitness program into our campaign. Knowing our nation is still facing the challenge of obesity, let’s start somewhere to help address that,” adds Teoh.

Recently, reports 2 show that health literacy among Malaysians remain low. Malaysia has the highest number of diabetes and obesity cases in Southeast Asia.

Our Ministry of Health is alarmed that one in three3 school-going students are overweight or obese.

Ayam Brand is also collaborating with Focus Point Group on eye health, and those who require them will receive prescription glasses sponsored by Ayam Brand.

“We are continuing with the eye health for our campaign as a global analysis4 recently reported that children’s eyesight is steadily getting worse with one in three now short-sighted or unable to see things in the distance clearly. The report mentioned the highest rates are in Asia. Let us do what we can to assist children who need a clearer vision,” elaborates Teoh.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of Ayam Brand’s Ayam BersamaMu Sihat & Cergas campaign. This collaboration aligns well with Columbia Asia’s commitment to promoting healthy living and well-being. By offering our expertise and resources to the charity homes involved, we hope to make significant impact on their overall health and quality of life,” says Ms Gwen Yap, Regional Marketing Manager, Columbia Asia.

In Klang Valley, the recipients of the campaign are Pertubuhan Anak-Anak Yatim Selangor , Yayasan Sunbeams Home, Pertubuhan Rahoma Darul Fakir Malaysia, Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia, Shelter Home and Pusat Jagaan Rumah Keluarga Kami.

Combi Malaysia Champions Child Passenger Safety

According to a report by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), an agency under the Malaysian Ministry of Transport, children transported in private vehicles, such as cars, vans, and four-wheel drives, are among the most vulnerable on the road. The study highlights that 43.8% of casualties among children aged 1 to 4, and 30.2% among those aged 5 to 9, are from this group (Ahmad Y., Abu Kassim K.A., Md Isa M.H., Mustaffa S., Osman M.R., Ishak S.Z. Vehicle Crash Pulse Study for Child Restraint System (CRS) Evaluation. Research Report. Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS); Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia: 2018. Access via MRR No. 263.). With road safety a growing concern, these findings underscore the importance of child passenger protection in private vehicles.

In response to rising child fatalities in road accidents, the Ministry of Transport has amended the Road Transport Act 1978 - Motor Vehicles (Safety Seat-belts) (Amendment) Rules 2019. This mandates that children who weigh less than 36 kg, are shorter than 135 cm, or are under 10 years old, must use Child Restraint Systems (CRS) when traveling in cars. Eris Chew, representing Combi Malaysia, shared, “Although the Ministry is still evaluating mandatory child seat use, we strongly encourage parents to adopt Child Restraint Systems now. CRS has proven effective in reducing both injury severity and the risk of fatality for children during accidents.”

Chew also acknowledged the barriers Malaysian families face in adopting CRS, including perceived high costs and limited awareness. “At Combi Malaysia, we’re committed to bridging this gap by raising awareness and providing accessible, certified safety solutions that families can rely on.”

At a launch event at Combi Malaysia’s flagship store in Mid Valley Megamall, the brand introduced its latest innovation, the CrossAge 360—the first Japanese car seat designed for children from birth up to 10 years old. This CRS, tested to meet the latest safety standards (European Standard No. R129), offers convenience and peace of mind to parents with features like a 360° revolving seat and easy one-hand swivel operation, allowing parents to safely and easily get their child in and out of the car.

“Combi is a beloved Japanese baby brand known for its dedication to child safety, quality, and innovative design,” Chew added. “At Combi Malaysia, we’re proud to build on over six decades of expertise to bring parents products that prioritise safety and enhance the parenting journey. We hope to set a new standard for child passenger safety in Malaysia.”

Importance of Engaging a Reliable Printer Repair Service in KL

In today’s fast-paced business environment, printers remain an essential tool in many offices. From printing contracts to producing marketing materials, the smooth functioning of printers can make or break daily operations.

However, like any technology, printers are prone to wear and tear, breakdowns, or technical malfunctions. Engaging a reliable printer repair service is crucial to ensure continued productivity especially for businesses.

Below are some key reasons why having access to a dependable printer repair service in KL is important.

1. Minimising Downtime
A malfunctioning printer can lead to operational delays, especially for businesses in KL, Ampang or Shah Alam that rely heavily on printed documents, such as law firms or marketing agencies. Every minute spent troubleshooting printer issues internally can equate to lost opportunities and reduced productivity. Consider sending your copier or printer to a reliable Epson printer service center will ensure that there are experts on hand to promptly address any technical problems, minimising the downtime of your equipment.

2. Cost Efficiency
Some businesses might attempt to DIY their own Fuji Xerox printer repair to save money, but this often leads to larger issues or repeated breakdowns. Without the proper expertise, a small technical problem can escalate into a costly repair or the need for a replacement. By hiring printer repair experts, businesses in Kuala Lumpur can save money in the long run. A professional printer service shop can identify and fix the root cause of the problem, ensuring the printer functions smoothly and avoiding costly future repairs or replacements.

3. Expertise and Quality Repairs
Printers come in various models and specifications, each requiring a unique set of knowledge to repair effectively. A reliable printer repair service in Kuala Lumpur will have trained technicians who are familiar with a wide range of printer brands and models. These experts can diagnose the problem accurately and offer effective solutions, ensuring the printer is back in working condition quickly. Whether it’s a simple paper jam or a more complex hardware issue, a qualified technician will handle the problem with the necessary expertise and tools.

4. Preventive Maintenance
Regular maintenance services from a trusted printer repair company can keep your machines in top condition. Technicians will identify potential issues before they become major problems, extending the life of your printer and reducing the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns. Preventive maintenance is especially crucial for businesses in Kuala Lumpur, where a sudden halt in operations can be detrimental to daily functions.

5. Access to Genuine Parts
One major concern when it comes to printer repairs is the availability of genuine parts. A reliable Ricoh printer repair service in KL will have access to authentic components that are compatible with your printer model. Using counterfeit or low-quality parts may offer a temporary fix, but it can lead to further issues in the long run. Ensuring your printer is repaired with genuine parts not only extends its life but also maintains the warranty in many cases.

6. Local Expertise and Support
Choosing a local printer repair shop in Kuala Lumpur means faster response times and greater convenience. A local printer repair company can often provide fast and efficient Samsung printer repair, reducing the disruption to your business.

In conclusion, engaging a reliable printer repair service in Kuala Lumpur is essential for ensuring smooth business operations, saving costs, and extending the life of your printer. By choosing a reputable repair service in Petaling Jaya like Printech Sales & Services Sdn Bhd, you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your printer or copier machine is in expert hands, minimising disruptions and maximising efficiency.

Whether it’s for immediate repairs or preventive maintenance, investing in professional printer or scanner repair service is a smart decision for any business or individual in Klang Valley.

Heineken® Crowns Malaysia's First-Ever Player 0.0 Champion!

As part of its "When You Drive, Never Drink" (WYDND) platform, Heineken® emphasized that the best driver is the one who doesn’t drink - unless it is Heineken® 0.0. This crucial message was brought to life via a compelling campaign featuring Max Verstappen, the three-time Formula 1(F1™) World Champion and ambassador for the WYDND campaign and for the first-time ever in Malaysia, Player 0.0.

Player 0.0 - Heineken®’s latest initiative - is a mobile and sim racing competition which combines the excitement of racing with the brand’s commitment to underscoring the important messaging of "The Best Driver is the one who is not drinking". Since June, over 1,500 participants tried their hand at the game, resulting in an impressive 50,000 game plays, and the search finally came to an end this month. After racing their way to the top, the top 20 racers from the leaderboard were invited to the Player 0.0 Malaysia Finals to showcase their talent, and the opportunity to represent Malaysia in the finals.

Last night, the racing spirit was at an all-time high at Piazza, Pavilion Bukit Jalil as the Player 0.0 Malaysia Finals were held in conjunction with a live viewing of the much-anticipated  Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix™, the first race back after the season’s summer break. It was a vibrant atmosphere as enthusiasts gathered for an unforgettable experience; but the event was more than just a race. It was a celebration of the sport as fans enjoyed a live screening of the fan-favourite Dutch GP - Max Verstappen’s very own home race - and the home of Heineken®.  The venue was transformed into a Grand Prix paddock experience with F1™-themed engagements.

As guests enjoyed Heineken® 0.0, they got to witness firsthand the impressive gameplay between the finalists who went wheel-to-wheel on the sim, as Chong Kai Chang emerged as Malaysia’s very own ‘Player 0.0’. Chong Kai Chang will be representing Malaysia at the global finals held in conjunction with Gamergy, an Esports and gaming festival in Madrid, Spain. The highlight of the global finals is the opportunity to meet three-time F1™ world champion, Max Verstappen.  Making it more than just the race, live music performances from favourite local DJs - Blink, Jovynn, Mister Rodrigo, Pitch Shift and Shwan Zod - featured F1™ themed sounds within their setlist that transformed the venue, giving fans a refreshing watch party experience.

“Heineken® has always been about bringing people together by providing refreshing experiences – and what better way to do that than with our Player 0.0 initiative? As a beer brand that promotes responsible consumption, we want to drive the WYDND messaging through unique and innovative ways with mobile and sim racing. Our goal is to inspire consumers to enjoy responsibly and emphasise that the best driver is the one who is not drinking unless it’s a Heineken®v 0.0’,” said Willemijn Sneep, Marketing Director of Heineken Malaysia Berhad.

Heineken® & Heineken® 0.0 and all promotions are for non-Muslims aged 21 and above only. For more information and updates, log on to the website at  https://www.heineken.com/my/en/home or follow Heineken® on Instagram (@HeinekenMY) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HeinekenMYS/).
